Expected Regrowth
If the probe reaches the bottom of the hair follicle and the papilla there is destroyed by the carefully controlled electric current.
On occasion it may not be possible to reach the papilla if curved or distorted follicles prevent accurate insertions. In these cases, regrowth of the treated hair is to be expected.
Fortunately, growing follicles are often straightened in the process, so that retreatment will eventually succeed in reaching and destroying even these difficult papillae.

Real vs. Apparent Regrowth
Some growing hairs aren't hairs which have returned after treatment. This is known because for example after being treated for only a month, Most hairs do not re-grow that quickly.
Apparent regrowth is that every established hair follicle has its individual growth cycle. A hair begins to grow, it will reach a maximum size and then interrupt its activity to rest, after which the hair falls out. In time a replacement hair arises from the same follicle.
This means that a certain percentage of follicles will always be empty. A woman will not be aware of the fact that she has more active follicles at work in her skin than she can count by the evidence of visible hairs. While mature hairs are being permanently removed by Electrolysis, others are regeneration in follicles which have been temporarily dormant. It will soon be their turn to produce hairs, but this appearance of hair is not "treatment regrowth."
